NOTE 1 Quality factor, normally represented by Q, are used (rather than radiation or tissue weighting factors) to convert the absorbed dose to dose equivalent quantities described above (ambient dose equivalent, directional dose equivalent and personal dose equivalent). Its actual values are given by ICRP-60  (see 220.127.116.11).
NOTE 2 Prior to ICRP-60 , quality factors were synonymous to radiation weighting factors.
