Definition
resonant back and forth flow of secondary electrons in a vacuum between two surfaces separated by a distance such that the electron transit time is an odd integral multiple of one half the period of the alternating voltage impressed on the surfaceNotes
- NOTE The effects of multipaction can be loss of output power up to reaching the multipaction breakdown voltage leading to the generation of spark.
